JFull steam ahead

So ... now that the NSW election is behind us, I am more determined than ever before to demonstrate to the people of the New England that they have a reliable, respectful alternative to represent them in Canberra.

It’s time to put principles and great policy above personalities so we have a real shot at solving the water, energy and cost-of-living pressures that are crushing regional communities.

I can’t do this alone. If you believe that it’s time for a new voice in New England your help is urgently needed. The National Party has all the resources of the party and the support of the big end of town. this will be hard to beat unless people power gets behind me.

Donations towards our campaign, to keep us visible, and volunteers to spread the word, staff information stalls, display campaign posters and a myriad of other tasks, are crucial to our success.

If Barnaby Joyce is no longer your choice, then get behind our campaign, tell your friends, post on social media, or share our recent media release.

If you have a group or club and would like Adam or one of the team to come along to meet them, please get in touch via our Adam Blakester Campaign facebook page or by sending us an email at Adam@adamblakester.vote

Meet our supporters

It’s great to start receiving endorsements. Isobel Knight is a prominent Tamworth businesswoman, running a farm succession planning business. She won the 2013 NSW-ACT RIRDC Rural Women’s Award and was National Runner up. I’m delighted that she sees me as a person with integrity who will help us change the ugly face of government.

Let’s just shoot the messenger!

I’m sure all of us were appalled to learn of the approach by One Nation to the NRA for funding, with the promise that we would see our gun laws weakened. To me it was also appalling that One Nation’s immediate response was to attack the reporter for what was excellent investigative journalism. Dixon and Ashby invoked the tried and true kindergarten response: “all the other kids are doing it”, suggesting that secretly recording other politicians’ meetings would uncover similar behaviour. If this is true, then it’s a huge indictment of our politicians and we need to know just who is paying for political influence. It’s certainly time for ethics and honesty in parliament.

Meet the team

We had a great time in Bingara and Manilla this week.  It’s always great to meet proactive members of the electorate.
